I've been using Vitaman shave products for some time now and I LOVE them. When I saw that the Shave CrГЁme was back in stock, I just had to try it. I'm really happy with the Shave Gel, but I wanted a comparison between the Shave CrГЁme and the Gel. Since I got the bottle, I've been switching back and forth between the gel and the crГЁme from shave to shave. I can't tell which I like better. Both are great! I think maybe the Shave CrГЁme is more moisturizing and the Gel is more lubricating, but I'm still experimenting. I think this is my solution: For a normal shave, I generally shave twice...once with the grain and once against. Why not use BOTH products?!? After a Vitaman Face Scrub and application of Vitaman Pre-Shave Oil, it's time for the shave! For the first pass (with the grain and when the whiskers are longer), I think lubrication is key. So it's the Shave Gel for this part. Next, against the grain! At this point, I'll want more moisturizing as I finish the shave with a second pass so I'll apply the Shave CrГЁme. It's smooth and lubricating as well as moisturizing, but I feel the crГЁme really soaks into my skin as I finish with the blade, soothing away any chance of razor burn. BOTH products are great! And I highly recommend either. Perhaps it's just a matter of personal preference as to whether you like a lotion or a gel, but I think I may want both for those days when I can really treat myself to a perfect shave!
I really like this product. It doesn’t dry out my skin, and it is definitely better than the regular retail shaving cream that I used to buy.
Great product. I would highly recommend this to anybody. With sensitive skin, very few products work and this was the exception.
I wanted to find an alternative to preshaves and shaving creams on the market as the common ones often irritated my face. The use of this Beard Oil with my electric shaver gave me a pleasant surprise. The shave was the closest I've ever had with an electric. Using the Beard Oil with a blade gave the same results. It was difficult at first not having a foam to use as a guide, but being able to see where I'd been was a real plus, no multiple passes to burn my skin. The aroma of the Beard Oil as a leave on was also a pleasant surprise. This might end up being my signature cologne! The main reason that I purchased this product is a medical one. All of my life I have had milia ("milk bumps") on both of my cheecks under my eyes (I'm 66). It made me very self-conscious, but my Dermatologist said that she could remove them by stripping the top layer of my skin off. So far, I've been using retin-A on my face for 2 months in preparation for the procedure. Shaving with Williams Lectric Shave always burned my skin and using a foam made it difficult to shave my face without making multiple passes. I want to determine if I can shave my face right after the procedure with Beard Oil without irritation as my skin would be very sensitive. There doesn't seem to be any alcohol ingredients in this product to dry out and irritate my skin and that's what I'm looking for. The skin lube and healing lotions in The Beard Oil is already making a difference. Thanks for a great product and I'll let you know about the results after the procedure.
With a double edge razor not better shave could be achived! Thanks VM!
